Young 5's Pre-Kindergarten
Preparing children for kindergarten with special emphasis on cooperative learning
and increasingly more in-depth curriculum concepts.

The program includes use of indoor gym, two muscle rooms, music room, and the extensive CNS library.
Outdoor space includes Carol Nursery School's private playground as well as use of Shaker Family Center's
campus, including the Debra Ann November Learning Garden.
A large portion of each day is devoted to play experiences where children use their natural curiosity and love of learning to explore and create. Activities in the classroom include
language, math, art, science, dramatic play, listening center, computer, and blocks.
Young 5's curriculum includes increasingly more in-depth cooperative project-based activities.
Specials include: Creative Movement, Spanish, and visits from Shaker Heights Public Library and field trips.
Snack time is a social experience with nutritious snacks provided and sometimes prepared by the children.
