Pre-Kindergarten Classes Four Day and Five Day Programs |
4-5 year olds Age of Child: Must be four years old by September 30th of the school year. Ratio: max. 2 teachers/15 children max. 3 teachers/18 children Sessions: 2 1/2 hours: Four afternoons per week or Four mornings per week/optional 5 day or Five mornings per week |
The program includes use of Carol Nursery School's private playground, large muscle rooms, music & movement, use of the school's extensive library, Spanish, daily art and science activities, and field trips.Snack time is also a social experience where children have the opportunity to share conversation with peers and teachers. A large portion of each day is devoted to play experiences where children use their natural curiosity and love of learning to explore and create. Pre-K classes include one day per week with an extended hour for lunch and activities. |
Emphasis is placed on the important social and academic skills needed to prepare children for a successful transition to kindergarten. |
