4-5 year olds
Age of Child:
Must be four years old by
September 30th of the school year.
Ratio:
max. 2 teachers/15 children
max. 3 teachers/18 children
Morning Sessions:
M, W ( 9:15 to 12:45/lunch ) T, Th, F ( 9:15 to 11:45 )
Afternoon Sessions:
M, W, Th ( 1:15 to 4:00 ) T ( 12:15 to 4:00/lunch )

The program includes use of indoor gym, two muscle rooms, music room, and the extensive CNS library.
Outdoor space includes Carol Nursery School's private playground as well as use of Shaker Family Center's
campus, including the Debra Ann November Learning Garden.
A large portion of each day is devoted to play experiences where children use their natural curiosity and love of learning to explore and create. Activities in the classroom include
language, math, art, science, dramatic play, listening center, computer, and blocks.
Specials include: Creative Movement, Spanish, and visits from Shaker Heights Public Library and field trips.
Snack time is a social experience with nutritious snacks provided and sometimes prepared by the children.
